Cape Hedge Beach house - in July 4th - Cass took photo.
I painted it and tweaked it looking for a few special effects.
There are other photos but this will do for now. Forgot what the
house looked like and tried a few different designs. We see
this place from our living/dining room window on a
daily basis. Once known as the barn for the horses. And an
"annex" to the Cape Hedge Beach House that burned down.
Wes Welker was not the reason the Patriots lost the Super Bowl.
They would have won if 100 other things would have happened too. They were just inches away and maybe 1 minute of playing time. They needed a bounce to go their way. They needed one call to go their way. They needed Eli to make an error. It was an uphill battle from the first possession. They had numerous opportunities and just never cashed in. Their best player was hurt (GRONK) and hardly practiced for 2 weeks. This was just disappointment and that is the reason for the painting. I felt the way Welker felt. He was one of the major reasons New England got there in the first place!
OHH NOOOO!! - HE'S GONE TO DENVER!!!??? 3-13-13
I don't know, I guess I had a moment of weakness. I like college football. I'm not a real fan of either team. I like the conferences they play in. I like the style they play down South. College football at the BCS level is really a dumb idea. It is run by the super conferences and a playoff would make so much sense. Back in the day, I was so much a fan of the bowls and now they are virtually meaningless. Any team can play in a bowl game. What's the big deal? Alabama - LSU for the title this year was a rerun of the same game they played earlier in the season with a different result. 40 days between games - I mean - come on.
http://www.google.com/Terry Francona - what have we done here? The controversy swirls and the hits just keep coming. Personally, I believe he did a good job. However, how do you explain September collapse? There is no excuse for that train wreck. Nothing he did could pull the team back from the abyss. Once it all started South, it just kept right on going. Most of the blame is going to the pitchers (Beckett, Lester, Lackey,Wakefield) Just give me 5 innings? 4? Rumors going to Cubs with Theo?? No, Cubs hired Dale Sveum - Sox are at Bobby Valentine (Please - No) Well, what do we have here?? December and Bobby V is the new manager! Guess they don't listen to me! Tito is just going to exchange seats and become baseball analyst on the tube! This could be very interesting and Bobby could very well do a good job. Some say he will kick some butt which (it is said) the Sox definitely needed down the stretch in
September. All they needed was one stupid win in there and they
would have been in! St. Louis won the series as a wild card!
San Francisco Peaks So, we were Driving and these showed up on the horizon. We were going to drive
right through them and I was hoping not over them. Then we get sort of robbed on the other side at a gas station for tires. But that's another story - on one hand, we needed new tires, on the other, not just then and not those FIRESTONE tires! But then, hey we were driving, things happen on the road!!
Pujols and its absolutely amazing how many people don't know this guy. In New England he's like invisible. You gotta be a devoted baseball guy to realize how good he is. What's going to be even more incredible is he will be gone and people will ask "When did he play?" Just won a Gold Glove although
I totally believe half the voters don't have a clue. They go "Who won last year? Oh, Ok - check"
Now we have the 300 million for 10 years! I have a tough time realizing the value at the back end of his contract. Given his age. Maybe the DH will make it worthwhile with the AL and the Angels. Maybe the Northeast will get to see more of him. Most certainly.
And in 2011 - they are back in the World Series versus the Texas Rangers (making a return engagement)
AND - St Louis just won game 7 and the World Series in dramatic fashion over the Texans, Game 6 was incredible except for the fact it finished at 1:30 AM in the 11th inning and there was no way I could keep my eyes open that long!!!
