 I don't know, I guess I had a moment of weakness. I like college football. I'm not a real fan of either team. I like the conferences they play in. I like the style they play down South. College football at the BCS level is really a dumb idea. It is run by the super conferences and a playoff would make so much sense. Back in the day, I was so much a  fan of the bowls and now they are virtually meaningless. Any team can play in a bowl game. What's the big deal? Alabama - LSU for the title this year was a rerun of the same game they played earlier in the season with a different result. 40 days between games - I mean  - come on.

We were flying thru the desert

In the middle of the night.

We stopped and watched

the moon rise over the foothills.

Pebbles and sand cracked and rolled

under our footsteps.

I do not remember another soul around.

Personally, I believe he did a good job.However, how do you explain September collapse? There is no excuse for that train wreck. Nothing he did could pull the team back from the abyss. Once it all started South, it just kept right on going. Most of the blame is going to the pitchers (Beckett, Lester, Lackey,Wakefield) Just give me 5 innings? 4? Rumors going to Cubs with Theo?? No, Cubs hired Dale Sveum - Sox are at Bobby Valentine (Please - No) Well, what do we have here?? December and Bobby V is the new manager! Guess they don't listen to me! Tito is just going to exchange seats and become baseball analyst on the tube! This could be very interesting and Bobby could very well do a good job. Some say he will kick some butt which (it is said) the Sox definitely needed down the stretch in
September. All they needed was one stupid win in there and they
would have been in! St. Louis won the series as a wild card!

Tim Thomas

Tim Thomas did not accompany his team to White House

and his actions have been misinterpreted by too many people! 

Hell, he's a hockey player! His statement about

inaction on the government level is appropriate.

 Just let the guy alone!

And what a finish to a great season, Stanley Cup, Smythe, Vezina 

- incredible collection for a guy who wasn't playing every day

 and, in fact, was insurance for Tuuka Rask - we saw Tuuka in

March let in 2 goals before we even sat down at our seats. 

Needless to say, that may have  been the turning point.

San Francisco Peaks

San Francisco Peaks  So, we were Driving and these showed up on the horizon. We were going to drive

right through them and I was hoping not over them. Then we get sort of robbed on the other side at a gas station for tires. But that's another story - on one hand, we needed new tires, on the other, not  just then and not those FIRESTONE tires! But then, hey we were driving, things happen on the road!!
